Little Boats - Why let the Big Boats have all the FUN?

Join the 2nd Annual Sippy Cup

Friday Evening August 6th 2010 - Saturday Afternoon August 7th 2010

This is an overnight race for small boats, held the same weekend as the Governor's Cup.

Boats must be 26' or less, trailerable, and have a PHRF rating of 200 or higher. If you don't have a PHRF rating, contact us and we can help determine if you qualify.

Race course - North East River Red #2 off Rocky Point to Severn River Entrance.

Planned by Dobbs and Suzanne Fryberger of Walden Rigging, this is primarily a regatta "fun race" encouraging small boats to gain experience sailing at night.

Post-race anchoring and possible raft-up in Mill Creek off Whitehall Bay. Bring some food to share and BYOB. Let's celebrate our overnight sailing accomplishment together!

Walden Rigging is a mobile sailboat rigging service based in North East, MD. We offer our customers the convenience of professional rigging services brought right to their slip. We work in marinas and boat yards on the eastern and western shores, from Fairlee Creek to the Elk River to the Middle River. For transients and cruisers, we can arrange dockage at one of several local marinas.

Previous cruisers and present-day racing and recreational sailors, Dobbs and Suzanne Fryberger have more than 40 combined years on the water. Their focus on simplicity and efficiency is a result of cruising on a small boat, experience-testing equipment and designs.
